Sparkling Stars*
Happy New Year! This is my first blog of 2013! It feels great to be back! How was everyone's holiday season? Was it filled with sparkling glasses of prosecco and traditional sugar cookies from grandma's cookbook? Now that the holidays are over and "normal" life has resumed, what does this year hold for everyone?
The first "gift" that I received this year, was a bunch of fresh lemons, from my friend Ursula's parent's tree in Northern California. As I live and breathe, I have never tasted such delicious lemons in my entire life! They are just bursting with flavor and are scrumptious when added to water, tea, or used in recipes. A big hearty thank you goes out to the Mehl family for cleansing my palette and starting my New Year out with a lemony twist* :)
One of my most favorite things to create is a vision board. Simply stated a vision board is a portal from one's soul to the universe, asking in a most humble way and wishing in a most magical way for their dreams to come true! I hope you enjoy mine and perhaps this will entice you to create one for yourself! :)
I just created this on Polyvore.com! How much fun!!!I am very excited to start taking ballet class this Winter! There is a dance studio near my house that has beginner ballet classes and I am excited to purchase some ballet slippers and get in there! Prancing about to a live piano player and feeling free!
I am also going to try to meditate every day! I try to remember not to be too hard on myself when I am meditating...It's nice to sit in a quiet place and quiet your mind. Even when thoughts and visuals come flying into view, it's nice to just relax all of those nerve endings that are always on the go! It's a time when you're not sitting in front of the computer, or reading your Iphone or watching a movie or talking to a friend. The silence will do your mind and body good and it will reboot your soul.
Last but not least, I am going to start drinking a lot more lemon water, especially now that I have those delicious Northern Californian lemons in my home. Lemon water is a great energy booster and it cleans out all of the toxins in your liver.
Lots of love for a balanced year filled with love! :)
