The flowers take the tears of weeping night, and give them to the sun for the days delight.

Good evening!
How is everyone doing on this crisp and mellow Friday evening?..... I decided to relax and enjoy a delicious cup of earl grey tea while writing about my favorite topic--flowers!
One of my favorite things about living in Seattle is the flowers! They are everywhere and they are beautiful! I always keep my trusty pair of scissors on me while I take my power walks around my blooming neighborhood of Queen Anne. I always try to cut flowers from the round abouts in the road and not from my neighbor's front yards. They get so uppity about it! Ha!
I have heard stories from my friends about how they have been yelled at for snipping botanicals from the lawns of our great city! I asked a coworker aboot this topic (yes he is Canadian) and he said that you can take one flower for every 20 that are in the bunch.....Sounds aboot right to me and I believe that lady Karma will accept that too, so that's what I will do! Ha!
One of my favorite ways to spend a day off is to walk down to the Pike Place Market and purchase some of my favorite fresh things......Fresh fish, loose tea, avocados, spinach, lemons, candles, soap, baguettes and olive oil.......Sometimes I listen to the "Beauty and the beast" soundtrack and I pretend that I am Belle walking through a quaint little french village on my way to the local book store.
A few days ago I got a
bouquet of peonies........My flower man said that they will last
forever.....I know when they open they will be absolutely stunning* I
will be sure to share them with you in my next blog*
In keeping with our botanical theme I thought that it was only right to share my favorite look of the 2012 Met Ball with you! It goes to the absolutely gorgeous SJP wearing a dress designed by Valentino! Hello meadow chic! Look at those amazing heels!!!! Throw her in a lavender field and give that lady a pink champagne cocktail and call it a day! :-)
I'm not really sure how I feel about marriage, but if I one day decide to take that leap (a small ceremony in Provence with great food and wine and tons of dancing) I will be sure to call up Valentino (who is turning 80 years old thank you very much) and have him design a meadow chic botanical wedding dress just like the one Miss SJP is wearing! That is if he is still alive! :-)
Have a fantastical weekend and keep it light,
XOXO,
Miss Reese
Finally you wrote something!!!! I was missing you!!! :-(
ReplyDeleteIf Valentino will not answer or he will be gone (this is life....), my mum is younger (ahahah) and a perfect stylist: she can make it right the same as this....
Miss you!!!! Lots of love
Tony
